The original civil and structural engineering firm, Thomas Garland & Partners was established in 1937 to provide services to both private and public sectors. Highly acclaimed for innovation, the pioneering group diversified in the 80s to future-proof its interests. It provides safety management, training, and design services.
Established in 1989, Garland Ormond International is an international consultancy firm providing services to high profile clients throughout the world including the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, European Union, UNIDO and UNCTAD. Since its inception the firm has worked on projects for international funding agencies in Mauritius, Uganda, Lesotho, The Gambia, Albania, Slovenia, Scotland, Jamaica, Palestine, Guyana, Papua New Guinea and is currently engaged on a World Bank project in Ghana.
Established in 2002, Shannon International Development Consultants (SIDC) harnesses the unique economic development experience and expertise of Ireland's Shannon Free Zone and the Shannon Region and makes it available as a consultancy service to the international development community.
Consultancy Services include: Free Zone and Special Economic Zone Development; Industrial and Business Park Development; Foreign Direct Investment/ Investment Promotion; SME Development; Regional, Rural and Tourism Development and Planning.
Since its foundation the firm has carried out projects in the Gambia, Montenegro, Armenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Bangladesh, Senegal, Nepal and is currently involved in a substantial Business Park Project in Uganda.
The primary goal is to establish and meet the Client objectives and in doing so to represent the Client's best interests at all times throughout the project.
The management philosophy is to "get things done" and this is achieved by direct "hands on" involvement by the company's Directors and Project Managers.
Thomas Garland & Partners Group established TGP Safety Management in 2006 as a vehicle to harness a unique and unrivalled experience in Construction Health & Safety Management. Along with a comprehensive training programme for staff, TGP offers a series of courses for clients and designers. Courses run from 3-7 hours and are led by TGP Directors.
