Michael Brides, a recently Chartered Engineer, joined Thomas Garland & Partners in January 2006 from a well established Geotechnical Consulting firm in Dublin. He has specialist experience as a Geotechnical Design Engineer.
Over the last number of years Michael has been involved in a variety of projects including Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Hotels. Michael's involvement in these projects has varied from extensive Site Investigations to detailed Geotechnical Design and Analysis.
Michael's design and analysis experience includes secant pile wall design, contiguous pile wall design, sheet pile wall design, soil nailing design, slope stability analysis, seepage analysis and foundation pile design.
More recently Michael has worked on the Clare Hall Apartment Project in both a design capacity and as Resident Engineer
Michael is a keen sportsman is currently playing Gaelic Football at Inter-county Level.
