Pat Murphy is a vastly experienced Chartered Engineer, a Registered Consulting Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland, Structural Engineer with almost 50 years of design experience in Ireland.
Pat was responsible for the development of many of Irelands leading industrial estates during the 1960s and 70s including, Waterford and Galway Industrial Estates. He was Project Partner for the two Digital Factories, in Galway and Clonmel, where the group continues to work to this day. He was also responsible for Wellman International in Mullagh, Co. Cavan, Pauwels Trafo in Cavan Town, Stafford Millar in Dungarvan, Co Waterford and Forest Laborities in Clonshaugh, Dublin.
Pat has also specialised in remedial works to houses, and became the Primary Consultant to HomeBond, the House Building Guarantee Scheme. He also is a contributor to House Building Manual, published by HomeBond.
Pat is an accomplished expert witness having represented clients in the High Court and the Supreme Court.
Pat's most recent area of expertise is in the matter of pyrites in unbound granular fill. Pat is a former Company Chairman and a former Secretary of the ACEI.
